Matthew March is an innovative technology leader, builder, creator, and change agent whose experience begins with the industry’s early inception. He has built a successful career empowering organizations with effective technology solutions that positively impact their top and bottom lines. Mr. March currently serves as EVP, Chief Information Officer for Sunwest Bank. In his role, he oversees all bank systems and related technology, digital transformation efforts, banking-as-a-service, payment rails, fintech integration, proprietary application development, data management, information security, information technology governance, and regulatory compliance.

Before joining Sunwest Bank, Mr. March held several executive-level positions at financial companies serving businesses and consumers throughout the United States, including Pacific Premier Bank, Colony American Finance, Banc of California, PacTrust Bank, and Carrington Holding Company. His accomplishments at these organizations demonstrate his in-depth knowledge of the financial services industry with specialized knowledge of commercial lending, business banking, retail banking, and real estate. Mr. March is an active member of the Data Warehouse Institute and has served on the organization’s Executive Counsel. He regularly lectures at seminars and is a published author.

When he’s not innovating, Mr. March spends time sailing. He enjoys gastronomy, enology, collecting first-edition books, as well as playing chess and guitar. Mr. March graduated with a bachelor’s degree in computer science and a math minor from California State University, Chico.
